Academic Staff

Dr. Manisha Karne is currently the Director (I/C) Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Research Centre at University of Mumbai. She is working as Director and Professor of Development Economics at Mumbai School of Economics and Public Policy (MSEPP), University of Mumbai (A++ University with 3.65 CGPA). She is currently Officiating Associate Dean, Humanities, University of Mumbai. She is also the coordinator of Research Projects funded by Tribal Development Department of Government of Maharashtra at MSEPP. She has completed a research project funded by National Institute of Educational Planning & Administration on “Employment and Employability of Higher Education Graduates in India” in recent past. She is a member of Research and Recognition Committee in the subject of Economics at Mumbai University as well as SNDT Women’s University. She is nominated on the Academic Board and Management Board of MSEPP. Ten research scholars have completed their Ph.D. under her guidance and six scholars are currently pursuing research under her guidance at MSEPP in University of Mumbai. She is Vice President of Indian Health Economics and Policy Association. She specializes in Development Economics, Health Economics and Environmental Economics.
