About us

The Centre for European Studies set up on 19th July 2017, aims to

– facilitate cultural dialogue between Europe and India

– supervise and nurture all collaborations with Europe

– conduct short term and long term teaching modules

– promote academic exchange of  teachers and students

– only centre in Asia

– Focus: research, translation and  Interdisciplinary learning

Vision

The Centre for European Studies aims to create a knowledge centre for European cultural studies and social sciences in India where Indian scholars interested in Europe and European scholars interested in India will find a facilitating agency, empowered by the European Union and the University of Mumbai.

Mission

The Centre for European Studies aspires to promote research and publication in the field of culture studies and the social sciences to further cultural dialogue, exchange knowledge and scholars to promote better understanding, mutual respect and harmony.
